Upon arrival at Cusco airport, you will be shuttled to your hotel for check-in. Afterwards, we will take a walking tour of the city, visiting the local Wanchaq market and the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), whose architecture and stone construction reflect its importance in the Inca Empire.
After some free time for lunch, we will visit Sacsayhuamán, an impressive Inca fortress built with huge limestone blocks. Afterwards, we will visit Tambomachay, known as “The Baths of the Inca”, a temple dedicated to the cult of water.
At the end of the visits, we will return to the hotel to rest.
We will start our journey to the northeast of Cusco early in the morning. During the journey, we will make stops at natural viewpoints to appreciate the inter-Andean valleys. We will also observe South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and guanacos, and we will learn about the use of alpaca wool in textiles.
We will visit the archaeological site of Pisac, located on the top of a mountain, and then we will go down to the town to visit its artisan market.
After lunch (not included), we will go to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca city with impressive buildings dedicated to its deities and advanced water systems.
After the visit, we will board the 4:30 p.m. train to Aguas Calientes (duration 1h 30min). Upon arrival, we will go to the hotel for check-in and rest.
We will start early with breakfast at the hotel, then we will go to the bus station to board the transport that will take us to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
We will enjoy a 2-hour guided tour, with time to take pictures. Afterwards, we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and, from there, we will continue by bus to Cusco, with transfer to your hotel.
We will leave at 04:30 AM by minibus, passing through traditional Andean communities. After 1h 30min of travel, we will arrive at Cusipata, where we will have breakfast.
We will continue by bus for 1h 30min more to the parking lot at 4600 m.a.s.l., where we will begin the 2-hour hike to the Mountain of Colors (5000 m.a.s.l.).
From the top, we will enjoy impressive views of colorful mountains, valleys and the Ausangate snow-capped mountain (6384 m.a.s.l.), the highest mountain in Cusco. Then, we will descend along the same path to the parking lot and return to Cusipata for lunch.
Finally, we will board the minibus back to Cusco, arriving around 7:00 p.m.
We will start the tour at 04:30 AM in private transportation to the town of Mollepata (2 hour trip), where we will have breakfast.
Then, we will continue by transportation for 1 hour to Soraypampa (3900 m.a.s.l.), starting point of our 1 hour 30 minute hike to Humantay Lagoon (4200 m.a.s.l.), surrounded by impressive glaciers.
We will have time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery before beginning the descent back to Soraypampa.
We will board the bus to Mollepata, where we will have lunch, and then return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
You will have the morning free to visit museums or do any last minute shopping. In the afternoon, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport to take your flight from Cusco to Lima.

- For those trekking the Inca Trail or the Quarry Trail, accommodation will be in campsites with basic facilities. Undoubtedly, this experience is not just about reaching the final destination (Machu Picchu) but about the incredible journey itself.
- According to Machu Picchu’s visiting regulations, all visitors must follow a pre-determined route within the site in a single direction. Once the guided tour begins, exiting and re-entering the site is not permitted. After the guided visit concludes, visitors must leave the site, and personal exploration of Machu Picchu is not allowed. Please refer to the Itinerary for more details.
- Travelers who choose different ways to reach Machu Picchu (Inca Trail, Quarry Trail, or Train) will not follow the same routes within the site. This means that you may not be able to take photos together overlooking Machu Picchu, whether traveling on the same booking or separate bookings.
