Our crew lead by your guide will pick you up early morning from your hotel for a private transfer to the start point trek, which it will take around three a half hours along this drive we will pass through farm villages like an Iscuchaca in (Anta Provence) we will continue driving into Limatambo valley, very well know for avocado plantation to Mollepata where will stop to have a quiet optional breakfast and then toward to Soraypampa 3900m
/12,084ft. this is our starting point of Salkantay trek to Machupicchu amazing place overlooking Salkantay and Humantay snowed capped mountains, we will start our ascend to Humantay lagoon consider nowadays one of the beautiful nature and turquoise color lake located in the base of the Humantay glacier. After having free time we will come back to Soraypampa to have lunch. After lunch we will continue our hike for two hours to get our basecamp Salkantaypampa 4000m/12,720ft is a Unique camp without crowded people very nice place to see the stars during the night time as well to see the sunset and sunrise of Salkantay glacier. Today we will start early after a healthy breakfast we continue our hike up with beautiful views of Salkantay mountain in the rocky valley for 2.30 hours to the highest point Salkantay pass 4600m/14,628fts, Salkantay mountain is the second highest glacier in Cusco region, Apu Salkantay is one of the sacred mountains that they worshiped as their main deity and protector in Inca times you will have free time to enjoy the spectacular views of Pumasillo mountain. after we will continue to descend in the stone path for two hours to our lunch spot Wayracmachay. After lunch we will continue our descend for three hours until our campsite to Colpapampa. 2900m/9,222ft The last part of this hike is to enjoy the amazing changes of the landscape from high altitude to the cloud forest, as well to see the ancient medicinal plants and flowers, many species of birds, hummingbirds and others. Trekking distance: 16 km, Time: 8 to 9 hours, Highest point: 4600m/14,628, Altitude: from 4000 to 2900meters about sea level.
After breakfast Today we continue our hike into the lush green vegetation up and down along the Santa Teresa River, with variety of species of flora and fauna as native orchids flowers from the area we will pass waterfalls, Granadilla farms (pasión fruit), as well you will see banana, avocado, Yaca and coffee farms. We will pass true small farm villages like Wiñaypocco, lluscamayo, playa Sahuayaco and finally to arrive at our camp Lucmabamba 2100m/6,678ft. today will camp in this farm village where the main industry is coffee growing, will explore a tropical forest for a little while.if you are a coffee lover this will be the place to taste one of the best organic coffee in Peru. This afternoon you have a chance to visit the relaxing Hot springs Cocalmayo this is extra activity. Trekking distance 15 km, Time: 5 to 6 hours. Highest point: 2900/9,222ft. Altitude: from 2900 to 2000meters about sea level.
We will wake you up early in the morning to have breakfast. Today we will continue the ascent for three hours to Qelloqasa 2700m/8,586ft. from where we have a spectacular view of the lost city ofthe Incas, the legendary Machupicchu, from a different angle. From this point, you will descend toLlaptapata archiological site where you can see both Machu Picchu and wayna Picchu mountains enjoying a good rest and explanation we will continue our descend to towards to Aobamba river if you are very lucky we will be able to see the cock of the rocks ( the national bird of Peru) crossing lush green forest and more orchards and coffee plantations bring us to the hydroelectric plant of Machupicchu, where we will have our lunch and we will have a thankful meeting and say good-by with our trekking crew, after lunch, we continue trekking for three hours in the beautiful cloud forest next to the railway to Aguas Calientes town, as well there is an option to take a train to Aguas Calientes the train ride will take 45 minutes. you need to let us know to book your train ticket it has an extra cost of $35. when you arrive at Aguas Calientes our guide will take you to the Hotel. whereyou will stay for the night. Trekking distance: 18km, Time: 7 to 8 hours, Highest point: 2700m/8,586ft. Altitude: 2000 to 2000 meters about sea level.
After Breakfast, your guide will pick you from your hotel for a short bus journey to the entrance of Machu Picchu, today you will explore this magical Inca city and enjoy learning about it was built anddiscovered. for 3 hours. You will then have free time to wander around and if you got a Ticket for wayna Picchu you can climb. Note. There are just 400 visitors allowed per day. You have to book inadvance the entrance with us to ensure your permit In the afternoon we meet in the town of AguasCalientes. - According to Machu Picchu’s visiting regulations, all visitors must follow a pre-determined route within the site in a single direction. Once the guided tour begins, exiting and re-entering the site is not permitted. After the guided visit concludes, visitors must leave the site, and personal exploration of Machu Picchu is not allowed. Please refer to the Itinerary for more details.
- Travelers who choose different ways to reach Machu Picchu (Inca Trail, Quarry Trail, or Train) will not follow the same routes within the site. This means that you may not be able to take photos together overlooking Machu Picchu, whether traveling on the same booking or separate bookings.

The cost of the Salcantay to Machu Picchu 4D/3N tour varies depending on the season and the group, but generally ranges from $500 to $700 USD per person for international tourists, and from 1,700 to 2,400 Peruvian soles for nationals, with possible discounts for students or minors. It includes everything mentioned, except personal equipment. We accept payments by credit/debit card, bank transfers, and in some cases, cash at our office in Cusco. We recommend that you bring comfortable hiking boots, thermal and rain gear, a sleeping bag, sunscreen, a hat, drinking water, identification documents (passport for internationals, DNI for nationals), a flashlight, and a day pack. It is also useful to bring cash for purchases in local communities or tips. Our team will provide you with a complete list of equipment and tips to acclimatize and enjoy the adventure.
