Description
Join us on a journey to various archeological sites while enjoying the changing ecosystems and landscapes that mother nature gives us in this region of Peru. Put your strength to the test hiking the sacred Inca Trail over 4 days and 3 nights. After being bathed in the distinct energy of the Andes mountains we will finally culminate our hike in the grand Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, named one of the 7 New Wonders of the World in 2007.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
- Professional tour guide on the Inca Trail (4D/3N) and Machu Picchu in Spanish
- Assistant guide on the Inca Trail (4D/3N) if the group exceeds 9 people
- Cook (who will prepare all of the meals during the Inca Trail trek)
- Asisstant Cook (who will help the head cook if the group exceeds 9 people)
- Porters (who help carry food, tents, and other equipment that is needed on the Inca Trail)

Itinerary
INCA TRAIL DAY 01: PISCACUCHO (KM-82) – COMMUNITY OF WAYLLABAMBA
Meals Included: 01 Lunch and 01 Dinner
Our adventure tour begins by picking up all passengers from their respective hotels very early in the morning. From here we will head via minibus to the starting point of our Inca Trail hike at KM-82 or Piscacucho, approximately 3 ½ hours away. Here we will have time to repack before beginning our hike. On the first day we will cover a total of 12kms. The Inca Trail begins by visiting some local communities such as MISKAY and heading towards the LLACTAPATA archeological site where our tour guide will make various stops in order to explain the places visited. When we are finished here we will head towards our lunch stop and in the afternoon hike for approximately 03 hours before arriving at our campsite at WAYLLABAMBA (3000 m).
INCA TRAIL DAY 02: WAYLLABAMBA – PACAMAYU

The second day of our Inca Trail trek will be the most difficult as we will wake up very early to begin hiking and will cover a distance of 9km. Throughout the day we will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and different ecosystems around us. After approximately 05 hours of ascent we will arrive at the highest part of our trek: the WARMIHUAÑUSKA (or “Dead Woman’s) Pass at 4200 m. We will then descend 2-3 hours until arriving at our campsite called PACAMAYU located at 3600 m.
INCA TRAIL DAY 03: PACAMAYU – WIÑAYWAYNA
Meals Included: 01 Breakfast, 01 Lunch, and 01 Dinner
This is the longest day of our Inca Trail trek and we will cover 14 kms on this day. We will be able to hike over completely original Inca Trails and enjoy the view of the cloud forest’s microclimates. We will also visit the Inca archeological sites of RUNKURAKAY, SAYACMARKA, PHUYUPATAMARCA, and WIÑAYWAYNA where we will rest for the night at 2750 m.
INCA TRAIL DAY 04: WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Meals Included: 01 Breakfast
On this day we will wake up very early (4AM) in order to hike 6kms, or 2 hours, to the Sun Gate, or INTIPUNKU. Here we will finally be able to catch a glimpse of one of the most beautiful places in the world, MACHU PICCHU, which is considered one of the 7 New Wonders of the Modern World since 2007 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.
We will have a guided 2 hour tour where we will explore all of the distinct, important areas that can be found within the Inca citadel. We will then take the bus back down to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes) where we will have time for lunch before catching our train back to Ollantaytambo and our minibus back to the city of Cusco.
