Arrive to Lima at any time(according to flight information) and take the airport transfer to the included hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is free to explore the capital of Peru. In the evening we will organize a meeting in the hotel reception where we will provide more detailed information about your trip. The time of this meeting as well as the list of documents that you will need to bring with you can be found in the hotel reception together with a welcome letter.

Be ready for your flight for Cusco – the Capital of the Incan Empire. Your guide and driver will pick you up from the airport in Cusco and embark upon a guided excursion through snowcapped mountains to the Sacred Valley, as majestic today as it was during the reign of the Incas. Stop for a short explanation at the Awana Kancha indigenous and weaving center ,You will also love to get up close and personal to native llamas, alpacas, guanacos and vicunas. We will stop along the way for a traditional lunch. You will see Inca terracing that climbs the steep valley walls and the beautiful temples of Písac inca site , use your bargaining skills and enjoy the local culture before you reach Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. Check in, and then rest at the  hotel. Note: Urubamba is lower than Cusco which is why we begin here to ease your acclimation to the altitude. (B,L)

In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit the archeological site of OLLANTAYTAMBO, one of the architectonic jewels that can be found in the Sacred Valley. The town of the same name is a living Inca city due to the fact that its inhabitants still utilize the streets, walls, aqueducts, and irrigation channels of the Incas. We will visit the archeological complex where we will find excellent Inca architecture and engineering.

We will continue on our journey towards the archeological site of MORAY where we will take in the circular, terraced construction that was built over a natural depression in the area and was utilized for cultivating a variety of different plants. After this, we will head towards the MARAS salt flats that were utilized by ancient Andean people such as the Incas. Finally, after this visit we head back to our hotel to rest.

You will be picked up from your hotel today at about 5:20 am. We will then go to the train station and leave on the train at 6:10 am from Ollantaytambo. Along the way, the train follows the Urubamba River until we reach Km104 where we´ll begin our trek. You will be able to see spectacular views of farmlands, snow-capped mountains and the mighty Urubamba River; one of the sources of the Amazon River. At 104km (2000m) we begin our trek, once we´ve made sure you have everything you need. We will provide you a packed lunch and drinks for energy. We will also take the chance now to have a group photo before visiting our first Inca site together. After an informative tour of the Inca site, we begin gradually ascending as we head for the classic Inca Trail far above. If we have clear weather, we´ll have tremendous views of Macchu Picchu, the Urubamba River and other surrounding Inca sites. After hiking for 3 hours, we will reach the Incan site on the Inca Trail – Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young) at 2600m. This is a beautiful Incan site that many people never get to see. There is an elaborate water fountain, sacred places,and some agricultural terraces which provide a perfect opportunity to learn more about the way of the Incans,It really demonstrates of the importance of location to the Incas. From Wiñay Wayna, we walk to the Sun Gate where we see the nice landscape of Machu Picchu below. We will have some time for our  photos, we begin our descent to Machu Picchu for 30 minutes more. After taking photos, we’ll take the bus to Aguas Calientes and check-in to your hotel.

On this day our activities will begin early. We will start with breakfast in our hotel and then head out to the bus station where, after a short wait, we will board our bus that takes us up to the Machu Picchu citadel. Once there, we will have a 02 hour guided tour and time for photos. After we leave the archeological complex we will board our bus to head back town to Aguas Calientes in order to have lunch (not included). Finally, we head towards the train station in order to catch our train back to Ollantaytambo. From here, we will head back via bus to Cusco where we will leave you in your hotel.

Today you will spend the day learning about the region’s rich cultural history. Start the day with a guided  tour through Cusco local food market of San Pedro, then spent visiting by private transportation the other significant Inca ruins in the vicinity of Cusco including: the inca site of Saqsayhuaman above the city, noted for its megalithic stone terraces ; Kenko ( zig zag) where we will find patterned carved stone and subterranean altars, then we go to visit  Puka Pukara, a small resting place for messengers in the incas time; to finish our tour visiting Tambomachay  considered one of the most important water temple in the incas time. Once you finish to visit this places you head back to the city to enjoy a delectable lunch of regional cuisine. By the afternoon you will visit the cathedral of Cusco where you will find the famous last supper canvas and paintings made by our native artists, Koricancha the Inca’s Temple of the Sun, unique place in the city of Cusco because it was considered the most important sacred Inca dedicaded to the most important inca goods.  Tonight, you can choose from many top restaurants near your hotel,

After a great breakfast, stroll over to the Chocolate Museum – a great museum  in the downtown of Cusco. Here, you will participate in a 2 hour chocolate making. You’ll learn the entire chocolate making process starting with the cacao ,a tree in the Peruvian Jungle. Create your own handmade chocolates to take home with you, This afternoon you are free to explore the neighborhoods of San Blas, the Plaza de Armas, explore the amazing narrow Cusco’s streets,visit art galleries and meet artists and artisans, enjoy café on the Plaza de Armas or in the  neighborhood of San Blas. You may enjoy one of the following places:  the Cusco Center of Native Arts,Museum of Pre-Colombian Art, Machupicchu museum. Cusco is a great place to do last minute shopping. Back to your hotel to get ready for another great dinner in this lovely town.
