MOLLEPATA:
The mountains of the Vilcanota mountain range rise forming a spectacular chain, located between two large rivers in the region of Cusco Urubamba and Apurimac along the north side of the mountain range.
The location of the snowy Salkantay is at the eastern, end of the chain and has a height of approximately 6,270 meters above sea level.
Mollepata is an attractive town built on a mountain slope in the upper part of the Apurimac, especially dedicated to agriculture and raising domestic animals.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
During this walk we will do an ascent through different ecological microclimates, for this you must be prepared for changes of the climate and height in turn we recommend being in Cusco about 2 to 3 days before the start the hike, to achieve a good acclimatization.
