RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TOUR FULL DAY
This morning you will be picked up very early at around 3:45AM where we will board our minibus in order to begin our tour. Along the way we will pass through traditional Andean communities.
After approximately 3 hours travelling we will arrive to the Hanchipata community where we will stop for breakfast. From here we will continue another 15 minutes until we arrive to the Qhesiuno community (4326 m. or 14189 ft. ) where we will begin our hike. The hike will last around 3 hours in order to arrive at the famous Rainbow Mountain. On the way we will take in spectacular views of the Andean highlands, glacial peaks, red mountains, and rocky cliffs. We will also also find llamas and alpacas grazing along the way and, with a little bit of luck, we may be able to see other Andean fauna as this area is home to condors, deer, and the famous Andean fox. Once we arrive to the top of Rainbow Mountain you will be have time to take in the colorful mountains that surround the area. You will also be able to see various valleys and the snow-capped Ausangate. Ausangate considered to be the highest mountain in the Cusco Region at 6384m. or 20, 940ft. And is part of the Vilcanota Mountain Range. While you’re enjoying these magnificent views our tour guide will share information with you about this beautiful place. After having enough time to look around and take photos we will begin our descent of approximately 2 hours until arriving at the Qhesuino community where we will board our minibus and head towards our next stopping point for lunch. After lunch, we will board our private minibus, return to Cusco, and finally drop you off at your hotel where your tour service will be finished.
